Our operations and maintenance service keeps networks and facilities running after handover. Building a site is a defined project with an end date; keeping it available is an ongoing commitment, and it is the part of the lifecycle where most of the asset’s value is either protected or lost.
Preventive maintenance visits are scheduled rather than triggered by failure. Batteries, generators, cooling and connections are checked on a cycle, because most of what causes an outage is visible for weeks before it takes a site down.
When something does fail, we attend and repair it. Corrective work covers faults found during a scheduled visit; emergency response covers the ones that cannot wait for the next one.
Faults are escalated through an agreed path rather than sitting with whoever first noticed them. Clear escalation is what stops an unresolved fault from ageing quietly, and it gives you a defined point of contact when a site matters more than usual.
We hold spare parts and handle replacement. Holding the right spares is the single biggest lever on repair time — a fault diagnosed in an hour and then waiting three weeks for a part is a three-week outage, not a one-hour one.
You receive periodic reporting on activity, faults raised and how they were resolved. Reporting turns operations and maintenance from a cost line into evidence, and it is what shows whether a recurring fault is actually being fixed or only being reset.
Service levels, response times and coverage hours are agreed with each client and set out in the contract, so you know exactly what support you are getting. We would rather agree a realistic response time and meet it than publish an ambitious one and explain it afterwards.
Maintenance practice for telecommunication networks is addressed internationally in the ITU-T M-series recommendations. In practice, the terms that govern your sites are the ones written into your agreement.
We maintain the same categories of asset we build: telecom network infrastructure, fibre, tower and wireless sites, and the electromechanical plant that powers and cools them. Knowing how a site was built shortens the time it takes to work out why it stopped.
